BIOGRAPHIES
Steven Horowitz
Steven is a former bankruptcy attorney who enjoys coming up with creative and interactive communications that entertain, explain and help build community (e.g., the Bankruptcy Ballot Archive). He’s also kind of fluent in Japanese, having taught English there on the Japan Exchange Teaching (JET) Program after college and subsequently spending time studying Japanese consumer bankruptcy law issues at Waseda University in Tokyo and working for two different Japanese law firms. He served for 6 years as the Newsletter Editor for the JET Alumni Association’s New York Chapter (JETAA NY), created the JetWit.com site to serve as an interactive resource for the JET alumni community and currently serves as the Professional Outreach & Development Chair for JETAA NY. A graduate of Duke Law School and the University of Pennsylvania, he lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife Wynne and daughter Helen and is an avid ultimate frisbee player.

Born and raised on a commune in West Virginia, Gideon began drawing at age one-and-a-half and never stopped. He’s also the founder of several bands and music projects, including having written and performed an entire rock opera. Gideon is an avid ultimate frisbee player, a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan and lives in Brooklyn, NY with his wife, Julie, and his son, Milo.
