Can’t tell what year it was published, but given the woman’s outfit, perhaps the 1970s? Just a guess, as fashion is not our field of expertise here.

It is hard to believe that there wasn’t a bankruptcy cartoon before then. This just goes to show how dependent we have become on bankruptcy over the past 35 years. This makes for a very interesting comparison – thanks for sharing this!
